Advancing Trauma Care at the THOR Annual Symposium
July 9, 2026
Perfusion Medical was pleased to participate in the recent Trauma Hemostasis & Oxygenation Research (THOR) Annual Symposium in Ireland, where Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Frank Booth, shared research highlighting the potential of the company’s lead therapeutic candidate, PM-208, in the treatment of hemorrhagic shock.
The symposium brought together trauma surgeons, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss the evolving challenges of both civilian trauma care and battlefield medicine. While traumatic injuries and combat environments continue to change, the medical community still has only a limited number of fluid-based treatment options available for patients experiencing severe blood loss.
Conversations held at the symposium reinforced the importance of advancing new approaches that have the potential to restore microvascular perfusion, protect vital organs, and improve survival when every minute counts.
