Perfusion Medical Discusses Development of a Field-Ready IV Solution for Hemorrhagic Shock at MHSRS
August 7, 2025
Perfusion Medical participated in the 2025 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS), held August 4–7 in Kissimmee, Florida. The annual event brings together military healthcare providers, researchers, and industry leaders to address the unique medical challenges faced in military and austere environments.
At the symposium, Perfusion Medical presented information on its lead candidate, PM-208—an IV solution currently in development for the treatment of hemorrhagic shock and other ischemic conditions. Designed to improve outcomes when timely access to surgical care is limited, PM-208 represents a novel approach to expanding resuscitation options in both military and civilian settings.
Research conducted by Perfusion Medical and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Dr. Martin Mangino and Dr. Loren Liebrecht highlighting the potential of PM-208 to improve survival outcomes following ischemic injury was presented:
Reformulation and Dosing Options of the Anti-Shock IV Solution PM-208 for Optimal Field Portability
Development of a Field Stable IV Low-Volume Solution for Severe Hemorrhagic Shock Resuscitation
Perfusion Medical is advancing solutions to improve outcomes for military personnel with support from the Defense Health Agency and AFWERX.
