Perfusion Medical’s VP of Business Operations, Liz Bloomfield, was in San Antonio, TX, this week, participating in OPMED, the Operational Medical Symposium convened by the Defense Strategies Institute. OPMED brings together senior military medical officials, clinicians, government leaders, and industry solution providers.

During the conference, delegates discussed how the U.S. is preparing for future battlefield scenarios and driving forward cutting-edge innovations in combat casualty care. As a former British Army officer who has served alongside the U.S. military on deployments worldwide, Bloomfield is acutely aware of the critical role that robust medical capacity plays in military planning. Bloomfield observed, “The more we engage with frontline military physicians and medics delivering lifesaving care on the battlefield, the greater urgency there is to accelerate the delivery of this groundbreaking drug to transform the treatment of hemorrhagic shock.”
